My Top 5 Speakers from CPAC
I had such an amazing time at CPAC. I met amazing people, heard great conservative speakers, and spent a great deal of time with our blog team which was a lot of fun in and of itself! I wanted to take some time to list my favorite speakers that I heard at the conference. I decided to leave out all of the GOP candidates as I didn't get to see two of them so I don't want to give a biased answer or make anyone think I'm endorsing someone. If you wanted to go to CPAC or you missed any of these speeches I would urge you to watch them! They are extremely good.
Marco Rubio
All of my conservative friends know that I am basically in love with Marco Rubio. I have written about him several times on our blog and I think he will be one of the great leaders of the conservative movement in the next several years. In his speech, he shows us two paths for America and how the choice in November will ultimately decide the path for our country. I was very pleased to find out that he won the Vice President CPAC straw poll with 33% of the vote which was a massive margin between him and the next candidate.
Allen West
Allen West is a great and powerful speaker. He spends his time outlining the differences between liberals and conservatives. He also took time to talk about why the founders set up our republic like they did, keeping the citizen big and government small. He stressed that we must "rededicate ourselves to the values upon which the United States was founded." Allen West also did well in the VP CPAC straw poll. Even though he wasn't on the ballot, he was a write in candidate for many attendees.
Sarah Palin
CPAC attendees absolutely loved Sarah Palin. She got the second longest standing ovation during the whole conference; second only to the winner of the American Heroes Award, who lost his leg on the battlefield. Sarah Palin delivered a war cry to the conservative movement, getting everyone excited for the November elections. I think she delivered a great address. Once she was done, I wanted to go take on every liberal within 100 miles of where I was. Even though I don't love her as a Vice or Presidential candidate, I love her simply because the left hates her.
Andrew Breitbart
Andrew Breitbart is a conservative warrior. He inspires me so much! His CPAC address, like most of his speeches, are very sporadic but that's what everyone loves about him. He goes on later to try and unite conservatives in a war against the intuitional left and liberal media. Below is a video that was played right before he came out on stage entitled "Hating Breitbart."
Daniel Hannan
Daniel Hannon serves the conservative movement across the pond in the European parliament. It was really interesting to get his perspective on the debates and problems we are having here in America. I would urge everyone to watch this speech, conservatives and liberals alike. It was by far the most personal interesting speech at CPAC.
